Open Educational Resources and Zero-Cost Learning: CUNY OER Initiative
The CUNY OLS Research and Publishing Strategy team’s catalog of OERs for AY 2024-2025 is now available online. This online catalog includes all the OER resources shared last year from across CUNY. It is searchable, filterable, and sortable by campus, academic discipline, object type, and publishing platform in addition to title and author(s). John Jay College’s Open Educational Resources (OER) initiatives showcase a growing collection of faculty-developed materials designed to reduce or eliminate textbook costs while enhancing teaching and learning. These resources are freely accessible and support both students and educators across disciplines. Grounded in a commitment to educational equity, John Jay’s OER efforts highlight innovative, scalable approaches to zero-cost course design and provide practical tools for adopting open, accessible learning materials.

In the video below, history professor Stephen Russel discusses what ideas from Open Pedagogy inspired him and how he will apply them to his classes in the future.
