Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL)

 

Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) is the term applied to the overlap of day-to-day teaching practice, empirical research in the field of education and discipline-specific teaching practices.  
SoTL journals are excellent, peer-reviewed platforms for faculty members to write about assignments, learning resources, and class practices that they have developed to teach their discipline more effectively.

Active Learning in Higher Education An international refereed publication for all those who teach and support learning in higher education (HE) and those who undertake or use research into effective learning, teaching and assessment in universities and colleges.

Arts and Humanities in Higher Education An international peer reviewed journal. It publishes articles, reviews and scholarly comment relating to the arts and humanities in higher education.

Assessment and evaluation in higher education An established international peer-reviewed journal which publishes papers and reports on all aspects of assessment and evaluation within higher education.

Assessment Update Covering the latest developments in the rapidly evolving area of higher education assessment

Canadian journal for the scholarship of teaching and learning Publishes high quality scholarship that addresses the teaching and learning interests of universities and colleges across Canada

College Teaching Provides an interdisciplinary academic forum on issues in teaching and learning at the undergraduate or graduate level.

International Journal for the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning (IJ-SoTL) An international, peer-reviewed, open access eJournal that is published by the Center for Excellence in Teaching at Georgia Southern University (Statesboro, Georgia, USA).

Journal of effective teaching in higher education An open access electronic peer-reviewed journal that advances the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) focused on institutions of higher education.

SoTL and OER
